So for the first time in a long time, I am on time to post this Mellow Monday! Today’s song choice is one of my favourite songs since it was released. I’m not sure why but I feel some sort of emotional connection with Incubus as a band; their songs have got me through a lot of shit in the past and their lyrics are just so captivating.

I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that Brandon’s voice soothed me through my break up with my boyfriend, through the end of friendships and the like. Plus the man is attractive as hell and that’s always a plus point for admiring the unattainable.

There is something just melodic and lulling about the choice of chords in Dig. I’m not sure why but I really love it!

I could have chosen to share Drive with you, their more popular song – which as a mile stone is one of the only songs I learnt, well attempted to learn, to play on guitar. But just known whichever I posted I could tell you I have on many occasions, attempted to sing along too – I’m not a bad singer but I sure as hell ain’t great!

So I’m hoping every single person who stumbles across this blog is having a great Monday and enjoys listening to Incubus and their music as much as I do; whether its your first time or just a gentle reminder that you love them.

I know I mentioned last time getting ready to schedule blog posts, but this time I am ready to do so – I’m feeling especially motivated after finishing a book and wanted to do nothing but talk about it to anyone and everyone who will listen to me ramble on.

Potentially post tomorrow, I’m hitting up a quiz night at my other work place and I won’t turn down a cheeky glass of red!
